Savannah, GA–In observance of Thanksgiving Day, the Chatham Area Transit Authority (CAT) will not operate service on Thursday, November 22, 2018. CAT’s fixed-route buses, paratransit (CAT Mobility) vans and Savannah Belles Ferry services will not be available. CAT’s administrative offices, located at 610 West Oglethorpe Avenue and 900 East Gwinnett Street, will be closed as well as the customer call center and ticket sales office.
To assist customers with their holiday shopping and other transit trips, all services will resume on Black Friday, Nov. 23. This includes the bus, CAT Mobility and Savannah Belles Ferry operations as well as the customer call center and administration offices.
Due to the City of Savannah’s Holiday Tree Lighting at Bull and Broughton Streets at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, some bus routes, 14 Abercorn and the free downtown dot shuttle, will be on detours until the end of the event.
